Carol Kennedy has been a Physiotherapist and PABC Member for over 40 years. Carol has been committed to excellence in her practice as evidenced by testimonials from her grateful clients. She has championed evidence-based practice by always utilizing the latest research to guide her treatments/assessments. Carol has been one of our profession’s generational leaders and this award has been created in honour of that. This award will acknowledge those that demonstrate passion in clinical treatment, instructing and mentorship.

The Peter Huijbregts Memorial Award

A legacy to Peter Huijbregts’ significant contribution to the physiotherapy profession both locally and internationally through his teaching and research. It recognizes the same passion for knowledge, teaching and research in a PABC member.

Award Intent

 To fund continuing education or research aimed at improving clinical skills and knowledge in the practice and/or teaching of physiotherapy.

PABC members in public practice, including acute care, rehabilitation, community, long-term care and school-age care delivery, work continually to improve the health of British Columbians.  The Public Practice Advisory Committee wants to recognize these individuals and increase the awareness and importance of these diverse areas of physiotherapy practice within the public health care system.
