Wendy Otto

~~Wendy is the owner of Summerland Physiotherapy and Sports Care. She is originally from Sherwood Park, Alberta and she graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta in 1997. She has been working in Summerland since 2000. She completed the certification program through the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute in 2003. She has a special interest in gait analysis and custom orthotic prescription using the Footmaxx System. She has also completed training in Vestibular Rehabilitation for treatment of vertigo at the Royal Columbian Hospital in Vancouver. Wendy has attained her Level III distinction in post-graduate manual therapy through the Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She is currently on the medical team for the South Okanagan Flames Junior Lacrosse team and Summerland Sting Junior Hockey Team. She has worked with numerous sports teams including the Canadian Freestyle Ski Team, the South Okanagan Junior Lacrosse Team, the UBCO Volleyball Teams, and the Summerland Steam Junior Hockey Team. She is an avid runner and has completed several marathons, half-marathons, 10km and 5km races. She also enjoys kayaking, gardening, traveling and reading in her spare time.
