About me

With over 17 years of physiotherapy experience, I have an ongoing desire to make positive and meaningful changes to the health, fitness and quality of life of my clients with practical advice, education and proven interventions.

I hold a degree in Physiotherapy from McMaster University, and a degree in Physical Education from the University of Alberta. My post-graduate studies include a Certificate in Manual Therapy, a Certificate in Medical Acupuncture, as well as numerous courses in John Barnes technique of Myofascial ReleaseTherapy.

Over recent years I have had a particular focus on supporting the senior population with their physiotherapy needs while living in Perth, Australia. Previous to this my career saw me treating elite athletes (and weekend warriors) in a large Calgary sports clinic before running away with Cirque du Soleil as a traveling physiotherapist. I toured for five years across Europe, Japan, Australia and New Zealand treating the high level artists for both chronic and acute injuries.

In addition to treating patients, I use my physiotherapy knowledge and skills to write patient-friendly articles that are used to educate clients in clinics across North America and Australia.

Outside of my professional life, I enjoy traveling and maintaining an active lifestyle, including spending time with my husband and young family.

Everyone wants the best for their families. I was initiially inspired to become a physiotherapist so that I could help my parents as best I could as they aged. I see a bit of my parents in a great many of my patients I treat, and I attempt to treat every patient like one of my family members.
