About me
  • Physiotherapist
  • Certified Restorative Yoga Instructor
  • Clinical Pilates Instructor

Trish has over twenty years’ experience as a physiotherapist with a strong background in neurophysiology and rehabilitation.  She is a graduate of the Dublin School of Physiotherapy and has worked in Ireland, Africa and at McMaster University in Hamilton, before moving to West Vancouver.

Her work experience in Vancouver has included running the neck and back rehabilitation program at Lions Gate Hospital, and working with the North Shore Health post op rehab program at a community level.  She has also worked at Women’s Hospital focusing on postpartum health and pelvic floor rehabilitation with a special interest in incontinence.

Combining this extensive work experience and her previous dance experience, she has recently developed an interest in movement therapy, teaching awareness through movement with an emphasis on breathing and relaxation.  She has also completed the UBC Peer Counseling program and has participated and completed extensive training in clinical Pilates.

Trish first experienced Pilates when recovering from a discectomy. She has attributed her full recovery, largely to her time re-establishing her core stability and regaining functional movement which in turn allowed her to return to competitive tennis at a national and provincial level, and a full and active lifestyle.

I feel so fortunate to be able to work as a physiotherapist. My career has taken me to Africa, Cambodia, Ireland and Canada. Along the way I have met and had the privilage of working with people of all ages and walks of life. Nothing gives me greater pleasure and job satisfaction than facilitating recovery and return to normal function. No day is ever the same and I have been the receiver of so many life lessons and witness to so many inspirational moments that I am filled with gratitude and appreciation for my profession.
