About me

Fredric Samorodin, has been in practise since 1976. He studied acupuncture in Moscow (1978-9) for a Certificate in Post-Graduate Medical Studies. In private practise in Vancouver since 1980, he has developed a focus on primarily using his hands combined with his knowledge of anatomy to help people deal with challenging body alignment problems. Presently, Fred helps patients with chronic or recurrent pain syndromes using manual, osteopathically-based physical therapy. He is a contributing author to a medical textbook-"The Malalignment Syndrome" (Schamberger, et al. 2002). He combines such approaches as craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, TMJ and laryngeal manipulation techniques, Advanced Bowen. His experience demonstrated that when one's body is "unwound" to a better postural/structural alignment, one's health, freedom of movement and pain conditions can be improved. Fred will send you home with many ideas on how a patient can compliment and support the changes therapy sessions can provide.

Instead of leaving patients dependant on repeated visits, assess and strategize with them on what they can do to reinforce your therapeutic directions between sessions!
