Marta
Kemecsey
Marta strongly believes that a physiotherapist’s most important role is to empower her clients to be able to understand and manage their injuries or conditions independently, via education and specific exercise prescription. Involved with physical rehabilitation since 1997, Marta enjoys working with a variety of different clients and strives to give them the most current information and suitable treatment to optimize their physical function. Marta has extensive experience in active rehabilitation programs such as the WCB Occupational Rehabilitation I & II, Activity Related Soft Tissue Disorder and Pain Management Programs having worked with other professionals in these programs as a Kinesiologist and a physiotherapist. She has post-graduate training in manual therapy, myofascial release, pre- and post-natal care and has her certification in acupuncture and Chan Gunn IMS. She has completed the Discover Physio series with Diane and LJ Lee in 2013. Marta finished her degree in Kinesiology in 1997 and worked two years as a Kinesiologist before going on with her studies and becoming a physiotherapist. She graduated from McMaster University in 2001 and worked in several private clinics as well as Royal Columbian Hospital before joining the team at Keary Physiotherapy in 2003. Currently she practices at Restore Physiotherapy in New Westminster.
