About me

Susannah’s approach is to empower each and every person in her care to understand and experience the potential for change. She is in continued awe of the power, magnificence, and adaptability of our nervous systems, and of our human resilience.

Susannah has over 25 years of clinical experience and treats people with general musculoskeletal problems as well as pelvic health concerns. She uses a combination of education, manual and exercise therapy, with an emphasis on creating home programs in partnership  with her patients that give them independence and confidence to help improve their concerns.

Susannah is an educator and a clinician and works mostly in private practice at Urban Healing, working collaboratively with clients of all ages and genders in the areas of pregnancy and postpartum, orthopedics, pelvic health and persistent pain, including genital pain and bladder, bowel and sexual pain concerns.

Susannah worked for years at BC Women’s and the interdisciplinary team at the Centre for Pelvic Pain, gaining invaluable experience working with people with perinatal concerns and persistent pelvic pain. Susannah is an adjunct professor in the UBC Masters of Physiotherapy program and an instructor for Rost Therapy and Pelvic Health Solutions. She has also co-authorized several papers with the Centre of Pelvic Pain & Endometriosis and with colleagues about Pelvic Girdle Pain. Susannah has been a mentor for the Pain Science Mentorship program and has served on the CPA Women’s Health Division and Pain Science Division Committees.

When Susannah is not working, she is usually saying yes to new projects, playing soccer, or singing in her choir.  She enjoys the daily ups and downs with her husband and two young adults, who are the life of the party. Susannah is a big fan of the 80% rule, and is working on embracing rather than fearing the uncertainties in life.
