Bolla
I am Pascal Bolla, the Physio on Wheels. I treat people at home, at work and at various other locations. I focus on treating people with neurological conditions, sports injuries and chronic complaints. I am a strong advocate of evidence based practice. It is a client centred approach to physical therapy that combines best available scientific research with clinical experience to find suitable rehabilitation solutions for specific problems. My special interests are clinical reasoning concepts, movement behaviour and motor learning, i.e. the (re)learning of movement patterns.
Throughout my career I have worked with clients in private practice, occupational rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, geriatrics and home care in the Netherlands, in Germany and in the lower mainland of British Columbia, Canada.
Currently, I am keeping up to date with the latest research through postgraduate studies in Rehabilitation Science at McMaster University. As part of my continuing professional development I also completed training in balance & vestibular rehabilitation at Vancouver General Hospital.
I was raised in Germany, and trained at the European School of Physiotherapy in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. I graduated with the highest marks awarded in the history of the program and my thesis on clinical reasoning was nominated for the national thesis award of the Royal Dutch Society for Physical Therapy (KNGF).
I now live in Squamish, BC with my wife and two young boys. As an ex-judo athlete, who enjoyed competing at an international level, I remain an absolute movement enthusiast. Currently I fill my spare time with CrossFit, climbing, and mountain biking. I apply my passion for movement in my clinical practice, always trying to challenge my clients to reach their full potential.
With the eLearning platform getPTsmart.com learners can practice their clinical reasoning skills based on the HOACII framework by solving clinical case studies step-by-step.
