About me

Mike Wong is a Registered Physiotherapist who has practiced in various hospital settings and orthopedic physiotherapy clinics in the Lower Mainland. He holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics (Exercise Science specialization) from the University of British Columbia and a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta.  He has also received extensive manual therapy training and received his Certificate of Orthopedic Manual Therapy from Manual Concepts in Perth, Australia. He is certified to practice anatomical acupuncture and received training from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute. Mike also has advanced dry needling training as he is certified in Integrative Systemic Dry Needling for Pain Management from the American Dry Needling Institute. He was instructed by Dr. Yun-Tao Ma, internationally recognized and highly respected authority in Pain Management, Sports and Trauma Rehabilitation.

Mike is fluent in Cantonese and is a well-rounded physiotherapist who utilizes Eastern medicine techniques (i.e. Cupping, acupuncture and dry needling) to ensure the patient recovers as quickly and effectively as possible. He has experience working with a variety of patient population and conditions from work rehabilitation programs, motor vehicle injuries, post operative conditions to training of elite level athletes, and has an interest in treating knee, ankle, and shoulder issues.
