About me

May Sheu graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Physical Therapy in 1997.  She has extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.  She has worked exclusively for employees @ Fraser Health Authority for 6 years in their return to work program.  She was the lead physiotherapist, treating staff with a wide variety of musculoskeletal injuries and assisted them in their recovery and return to work process. 

Currently She's the co-owner and founder of Cedar Chiropratic & Physiotherapy where she specializes in Dance Medicine, pediatric, and chronic pain conditions.  She also holds a part timel position @ Royal Columbian Hospital in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where she enjoys working with the babies. 

May believes in professional growth and continuing education, keeping up to date with current evident-based practices.  Her post-graduate trainings include advanced manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, intramuscular stimulation (IMS),clinical pilates rehabilitation, dancer's health and rehabilitation, vestibular rehabilitation, visceral manipulation, neural mobilization, vascular mobilization and cranioscaral therapy

May’s other passion is dance.  She was a competitive ballroom dancer and has also done lots of ballet and jazz trainings.  In the past, she has worked as a dance instructor.  She enjoys integrating her dance experience with her in-depths understanding of the body as a physiotherapist in her clinical practice in order to achieve the best outcomes.
