Maegan

L.
Maegan graduated from the UBC Masters of Physical Therapy program in 2014 and also holds two Bachelor degrees – one in Geography and another in Kinesiology. Maegan opened a multi-disciplinary paediatric clinic in Port Moody, PlayWorks Physio, that offers physiotherapy, speech language pathology and occupational therapy just for kids. This is a new clinic to service kids in the Tri-Cities. She sees all kids ages 0-18 years, with a play-based approach when possible. While in school Maegan completed two of her clinical placements in the field of paediatrics and in January 2014, travelled to South India under the mentorship of Andrea Mendoza. More recently, Maegan gained even more hands-on experience treating children at a child development centre in Northern BC. By working in rural areas with limited resources, Maegan has learned how to create fun and effective treatment plans despite any language, socioeconomic or financial barriers.
In her spare time Maegan enjoys a variety of activities, including chasing her 2 kiddos, travelling, walking her dog Cooper, baking, hiking, cycling, playing hockey and hanging out with friends and family.
