Since graduating from UBC MPT in 2010, I have worked with a diverse patient population with a focus on orthopaedics and geriatrics. Most of my clinic work includes WorkSafeBC, ICBC, and patients suffering from back, neck, and shoulder injuries, which are a specific area of interest for me.
In 2011 I started my own private physiotherapy business working in retirement facilities throughout Surrey. It was during these experiences that I first identified the gap in available health and fitness products for seniors living in facilities. As a result I created my own company in 2014, PhysioHealth Technologies LTD, and I invented my own piece of exercise equipment for seniors to use while sitting in bed, BedBike. BedBike is a portable arm ergometer (resistance bicycle for your arms) that provides seniors with an opportunity to have unsupervised, safe, cardiovascular exercise on a daily basis.
