About me

Rae Physiotherapy & Pilates offers a unique combination of assessment and treatment tools to help you get to the root of the problem so you can recover more quickly and get back to what you love doing.

Our integrated health studio in Vancouver BC, offers Connect Therapy™ Physiotherapy to fully assess and treat you as a whole, so you can understand your movement choices and work to retrain them, helping you move with more ease and help prevent recurrence of symptoms. We help patients re-train non-optimal movement strategies using Clinical Pilates to develop new movement potential while utilizing Acupuncture (CAFCI), IMS, IASTM and visceral manipulation as treatment tools to perform precise releases to encourage these changes.

Within this model we are also proud to offer a Pelvic Health Clinic providing pelvic floor assessment and re-training using the full body approach. We provide unique one-on-one direct care that is completely tailored to you and your recovery journey. Telehealth services are also available.

Born and raised in Inverness, Scotland, Kim moved to Vancouver in 2011 after training to become a physiotherapist in Glasgow. Since settling in Canada, Kim has continued her professional curiosity and growth with in-depth continuing education and development. Kim’s goal in opening her new Vancouver wellness studio, was to develop a practice where patients feel heard, supported and seen as a whole person rather than as a series of body parts to be treated separately.

“Honouring the recovery process is important to me. We are all individuals with our own movement story and history, the goal is to work as a team to work towards your health and recovery with full respect and awareness of your story. Working with a whole body approach offered me an opportunity to find control over my own body. It’s an on-going process of awareness but has opened my eyes to another way of approaching movement assessment and treatment that I personally felt immense relief, and for the first time, lasting results.”

With 15 years of movement training experience, Kim is passionate about helping people prioritize their health and find more ease and more functional choices with their movement patterns. Variety of movement within your current parameters is one of the most important components of general health and Kim balances work with weight training, yoga, Pilates, dancing, boxing and hiking along with sofa time with her new puppy, Rosco.
