About me

Hi! and thanks for checking me out :)

I have been working in the downtown core since 2009 after re-locating to B.C. from Ontario, and look forward to many more years working in the area.  I got my book-smarts from University of Toronto and received a Masters of Physical Therapy in 2007, and Honours degrees in Kinesiology from McMaster University in 2005.

As a physiotherapist, my goal is to identify source of dysfunction with a thorough assessment and provide the best possible combination of treatment techniques to get you back playing as quickly & as physically prepared for the challenges of your chosen activity as possible.

My days are filled with treating weekend warriors, athletes, and regular Joe/Jane-blows; those pesky office repetitive strains, mistaking capabilities of our (aging) body without proper training, as well as those bumps, bruises, strains and sprains.

Rehabbing people back to hitting the slopes, back to the golf course, chasing down that huck, playing with your kids, or simply to be able to work… Whatever your goals, she believes an individualized treatment plan to your body’s specific needs will be the most successful.  My passion is helping people get back to the activities, both recreational and functional, that bring smiles inside and out.

I also enjoy working with various levels of sport. Working with the 2012 Olympic Canadian women’s soccer team in training camp, addressing the aches and pains of hours of training, providing preventative and rehabilitative treatment of the athletes. I was apart of the performing arts medical team for “A Chorus Line” at The Cannon Theatre and was a therapist for BC Rugby teams (U23 women’s, U18 men’s). I also enjoy participating at local sporting events like Seek the Peak, beach soccer and giving educational sessions to local running groups.

I have undertaken professional development opportunities in continence and pelvic floor re-education in the female population. To allow freedom to go for a walk, run, ride, jump, and play without the worry of an embarassing episode. Excited to work with women of all ages in making a difference in their quality of life!
