Jami Bennett

I am a proud 2012 graduate of the Masters of Physical Therapy program at UBC and a new clinical research therapist in the Rehabilitation Research Lab at GF Strong. I am pleased to join Tara Klassen (PT, Ph.D. candidate), Dr. Janice Eng, and Shannon Sproule (PT) along with a fantastic team to work on the DOSE clinical trial and SCIRE project.

My practice began with two years as a staff physiotherapist in Providence Healthcare, primarily at St Paul's Hospital and Holy Family Hospital. Public healthcare provides a clinical environment with opportunities to assist individuals from all walks of life, where patients and their families are coming to terms with whatever their health status may be- recovering from surgery or illness, learning to cope with transition, seeking courage to change their lifestyles, and taking responsibility for their own personal health. It has been rewarding to make physiotherapy a part of that process.
