I am so thankful and proud to be a physiotherapist.

Being a physiotherapist means that I get to help individuals recover from injury and trauma and get back to the place where they can participate in life again. It’s an extremely rewarding profession where I truly believe I can have an impact on others, no matter whether I am working in clinical practice, teaching, research or administration. It is a profession where I am not limited, I have many choices in how I utilize my skills and a variety of diverse opportunities.

Being a physio is extremely rewarding because I get to work as part of a team with many other professionals and can work with these teams to focus on wellness, both at an individual client level and a health system level. I know physiotherapy is part of the solution we need to keep our aging population healthy and I am proud of the role we have in creating healthy populations and sustainable health systems.

Physiotherapy is a profession that engages both my brain and my heart - grounded firmly on evidence but still requiring innovation, creativity and caring to be successful in practice. Being a physio means I can be proud of the work I do, each and every day.
