Team

JF Esculier (PT, PhD, Certificate in Sports Physiotherapy) and Bea Francisco (BKin, MSc, MPT) are a husband and wife duo who co-founded MoveMed Physiotherapy in Kelowna. JF is a clinician, researcher and educator, who travels the world to help people prevent injuries. He is a world-renowned expert on running-related and knee injuries, running biomechanics and footwear, and a huge fan of trail running. JF is also the Leader of Research & Development at The Running Clinic, a continuing education organization, and a Clinical Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy with the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine. Bea is a former field hockey athlete who competed for UBC and Team Canada. She loves empowering people of all ages and abilities to manage their injuries or chronic conditions through a healthy and active lifestyle. Bea is particularly interested in women’s health, and has taken extra training in pelvic physiotherapy. During her research Masters at UBC, Bea studied the effects of exercise on the brain.
