Deb Treloar is a partner at Treloar Physiotherapy Clinic which she and her husband Bill started in 1982. She graduated from UBC with a BSR and became a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapy in 1984. Deb taught within the Canadian Orthopaedic Division course system and developed a Foot and Ankle Course which she taught across Canada. She has been a guest lecturer at UBC School of Medicine, Department of Physical Therapy for many years. More recently Deb continued her education taking courses through the Canadian Bobath Association which spurred her interest in combining the neurophysiological research with orthopaedic practice. She developed a course with Libby Swain and Cathy Eustace that combines the two different approaches. Deb continues to teach a section on the foot and ankle in the Clinical Masters program (GCOMPT) at UBC.
Deb enjoys clinical practice. She treats people of all ages with a variety of conditions. Her special interest in the foot and ankle has created a practice with a high percentage of clients with problems in this area. As a mother of 3 daughters and as a grandmother of 3 grandchildren, she also has had experience with children and adolescents. Deb leads a very active life and has always had an interest in sports injuries and getting people back to their play. In 2012 Deb won the Clinical Excellence Award for her work in the area of the Foot and Ankle, from PABC.
