Dana has been working in the Sea-Sky Corridor since 2011. Through a biopsychosocial and trauma informed lens Dana provides treatment using education, manual therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, and exercise therapy. Her experience as a physiotherapist has consisted of assessing and treating those with sports injuries, chronic conditions, post-surgical protocols, WorkSafe BC and ICBC claims, as well as international and national level athletes from Freestyle Skiing, Snowboarding, Luge, Bobsleigh and Skeleton.
As a women’s health and pelvic floor physical therapist, Dana treats a variety of conditions relating to pelvic pain and dysfunction, incontinence, gynaecological and breast cancers, prenatal and postnatal rehabilitation, and paediatric pelvic floor conditions. Dana is also trained in providing physiotherapy based breastfeeding support for moms and babies. Therapy involves assessing for and treating blocked ducts, mastitis, breast inflammation, and musculoskeletal discomfort in moms, and assessment and treatment of infant neck and jaw conditions such as torticollis, plagiocephaly (flat spot on head), tight jaw muscles, and difficulty achieving a wide, open mouth for latching.
