Cynthia
Lau
Cynthia completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology (2013) and Master of Physical Therapy (2015) at the University of British Columbia. Since graduating from UBC, Cynthia has received training in various professional development courses such as manual therapy, Acupuncture, Intramuscular Stimulation (Gunn IMS), Sports First Responder, and STOTT Pilates Instructor training. She also recently completed the Master of Rehabilitation Science program at UBC with a focus in orthopaedic musculoskeletal physical therapy.
Cynthia is an active member of the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC) and the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. In 2023, she joined the PABC Board of Directors as the Okanagan Regional Director. She also serves as the Board liaison for PABC's Professional Development Advisory Committee. Cynthia is passionate about and committed to promoting the physiotherapy profession and mentoring physical therapy students and graduates.
In her spare time, Cynthia enjoys a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, mountain biking, snowboarding, and keeping up with her two energetic dogs.
