Jessa graduated from Queens University with a Masters of Physical Therapy in 2007. She has also completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology Co-op in 2005. She has a large background in the health and fitness field having worked as a fitness programmer and trainer in several fitness clubs and recreation centers within the lower mainland. She has a keen interest in manual therapy, sports rehab and core stabilization. Jessa has also completed her certification in acupuncture (CAFCI). Jessa believes in an active approach to rehab and her main focus is to spend that extra time educating patients so they are fully involved and understand the whole rehab process. The ultimate goal is working together to achieve the patient's goals. Jessa has also been working with several post-stroke/post-operative patients who have been discharged from rehab in the hospital. She has helped many bridge the gap of hospitalization to return to work or normal life using specific programs to work on coordination, balance and strength training. Jessa enjoys a number of activities including running, hiking, snowboarding, surfing, yoga, basketball & weight training.
