Ruth
Norgaard
Ruth Norgaard, BScPT graduated with her physiotherapy degree in 2004 from the University of British Columbia. Ms. Norgaard has since pursued post-graduate studies in manual therapy through the Canadian Orthopedic Division of the Canadian Physical Therapy Association. Further studies that inform her practice are the Thoracic Ring Approach (TM) (LJ Lee) Parts 1-4, the Integrated Systems Model for Disability & Pain (Lee & Lee). She has participated in numerous other professional development courses such as Neurodynamics, and the McKenzie and Mulligan Approaches. She is a current member of the Provincial and National Associations of Physical Therapy. Prior to Physical Therapy she enjoyed a successful professional dance career, having performed with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Ballet Ouest, Santa Barbara Ballet Theatre, as well as touring internationally. Her extensive dance career demanded mastering ballet, contemporary dance, jazz, lyrical and tap techniques. Her versatility and joy of dancing continues to day with ongoing studies and competing in West Coast Swing, Ballroom and Latin Styles.
