Our Clinic

Body Works Sports Physiotherapy is a small, friendly, intimate physiotherapy clinic that caters to the individual needs of everyone who enters our doors - patients, staff and physiotherapists. 

We have a wonderful team of physiotherapists with a range of clinical and sporting experience. We work mostly with private sports and an orthopaedic caseload, as well as ICBC and WSBC related injuries, at our Lower Lonsdale location.

We work hard to support our patients and help them return to what they love to do. We also work hard to support our community! We work regularly to engage with local community, including providing volunteer coverage for local sporting or charity events as able.

About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic and dedicated physiotherapist who engages in active living to join our amazing team!

For this position, we are looking for the following:

Physiotherapy related skills:

  • an applicant with more than 2 years of physiotherapy experience if possible.
  • Registered member (good standing) with College of Physiotherapists of BC.
  • Proficient in manual therapy, IMS/dry needling, and exercise-based rehabilitation skills and/or is willing to learn over time. 
  • Experience in vestibular therapy, concussion management, Integrated Systems Model (ISM). Exercise prescription and an extensive understanding of the whole person model of care would also be an asset.
  • Preference will be given to someone who exemplifies clinical excellence, empathy, and the ability to go above and beyond for others.
  • Interested in ongoing education, mentorship and interaction with colleagues for ongoing growth and developing overall excellence in physiotherapy care.
  • Able to effectively work and communicate with the team to help coordinate the best care possible for each patient.
  • Mentoring for FCAMT or sports certification possible for the successful applicant, as well as overall mentoring for overall clinical excellence, such as clinical reasoning and case reviews.

General skills and attributes:

  • We are looking for someone who is eager to learn and grow clinical skills and critical thinking in a supportive clinical practice environment.  We hope to find someone who is friendly, loves to smile and always brings positive energy and dedication to patient interaction and overall clinic culture.
  • Good communication skills required for interactions with patients, staff, physiotherapy colleagues or other health care team members.  This may require reports to doctors or other health team members to support the wholistic care of the patient.
  • Self-driven, self-motivated and excels at clinical reasoning, interested in reviewing clinical reasoning processes with mentor.
  • Openness for feedback in clinical cases and overall metrics geared towards offering the highest quality care to patients and to support your growth.
  • Willingness to engage in relationship building and to support local community activities.
  • Committed being a part of knowledge sharing with the team e.g. clinical in-services, team meetings, mentorship sessions and community events.

Our Team

We are a collaborative team of physiotherapists and administrative staff who work together to provide exemplary quality of care - from ease of scheduling to quality of physiotherapy care.  We work closely with other health care team members to help provide a holistic model of care for each patient to help them recover as much as possible.  Our aim is to help patients return to the things that they love to do without pain.

Our physiotherapy team has a range of clinical and sporting experience, and we provide a variety of services to our clients.  Our physiotherapy team offers Manual Therapy, IMS/dry needling/Acupuncture, Concussion/Vestibular Rehabilitation, Golf Assessments, and exercise-based rehabilitation programs to help patients regain the strength and stability needed to return to action.

  • Bright open clinic space with floor to ceiling windows throughout
  • Large spacious and comfortable treatment rooms for individualized care.
  • Gym space to allow for exercise programs for strengthening and movement retraining work.
  • Convenient location in North Vancouver near Lonsdale Quay and the Seabus. Easy access through transit.
  • Flexibility possible with schedule. Looking for some afternoon/evening and Saturday coverage. Additional locum coverage also possible within clinic covering holidays or days off for other team members.
  • Higher compensation possible for those with advanced skills.
  • Direct one-to-one client scheduling. We provide full service access to electronic charting, booking, and billing systems with JaneApp software online and can help train you on this.
  • An amazing full-time administrative team for reception, scheduling, billing and community outreach.
  • Clinic hours: 7am - 7:00pm Monday–Friday; Looking to reopen 8am - 1:00pm Saturday
