Are you looking to use Pilates to support patient rehabilitation in your clinical practice?
This course explores comprehensive Pilates mat, Reformer, Trapeze Table and Wunda Chair repertoire. You'll improve your movement analysis and clinical reasoning skills in order to adapt and create new exercises to enhance your practice and improve patient outcomes.
Course Objectives:
- You’ll facilitate your understanding of functional anatomical connections for movement, and improve your confidence with movement analysis to better appreciate movement dysfunction.
- You’ll gain a broad knowledge of Pilates equipment repertoire, and have the confidence to safely use Pilates exercises to support patient rehabilitation.
- You’ll learn how to integrate your manual therapy skills into a movement framework, while improving your cueing and teaching skills.
This course is delivered over five modules, with pre-reading, online lectures, clinical reasoning check-ins, and case studies to support your learning. Additionally, you will be required to participate in online discussions, and complete several teaching, observation, and personal practice hours.
- Module 1: 16th & 17th September, 2023
- Module 2: 14th & 15th October, 2023
- Module 3: 18th & 19th November, 2023
- Module 4: 16th & 17th December, 2023
- Module 5: 13th & 14th January, 2024
The complete course is 250 hours, with additional time required for assignments and self-directed learning.
