About me

Kerri-Ann Swartz has worked in orthopaedic rehabilitation for over 15 years. First, as a Registered Kinesiologist with focus on WCB and ICBC injuries as well as pediatric therapy and sport specific training. In 2009, Kerri graduated with her Masters Degree in Physiotherapy from USC and worked in Abbotsford for a few years, then moved her practice to Chilliwack at Fraser Valley Physiotherapy/CBI Chilliwack until her maternity leave in June 2017.

Kerri has completed her orthopaedic fellowship in manipulation and manual therapy (FCAMPT), as well as Gunn IMS certification. She is a member of the CPA orthopaedic division as a teacher/ mentor to physiotherapists who are completing their for orthopaedic fellowships. She has worked with a wide variety of conditions ranging from post-operative, stroke survivors, neurological populations to weekend warriors, crossfitters/olympic lifters, and high level athletes.
She has a special interest in treating pre and post-natal populations and is certified in pelvic floor therapy/rehabilitation and return to sport, an area close to heart after having issues herself in return to sport since the arrival of her son.
Low back pain is a large focus of her practice with McGill Method training (Dr. Stuart McGill) and plans to become a McGill Provider which is a focus on aiding low back pain when all else has failed. She is also a Crossfit Level 1 coach, Movement and Mobility Specialist and has training in Fascial Cupping (Myofasical Decompression).
She combines her love of functional movement with rehabilitative exercises that are practical and specific to one's goals. Finding the issue, restoring function and relieving pain is her priority.

In her spare time, you can find Kerri training out of her garage or Crossfit Chilliwack, chasing after her son and lab pup, and seeking new adventures in the mountains; be it camping, mountaineering, backcountry skiing, trail running or mountain biking.
