At the UBC Physical Therapy and Research Clinic (UBC PTRC), we offer physiotherapy services provided by a unique combination of clinicians and students. Conveniently located on the UBC campus, in the Friedman building, we serve all those who live, work, study or play on UBC campus, as well as the broader Vancouver community. We treat a diverse range of clientele, including overuse and sports injuries, neurological conditions, women’s health, concussions, WSBC and ICBC. As part of the Department of Physical Therapy at UBC, we have access to the most up-to-date evidence informed practice and cutting edge research in the profession.
The PTRC operates on a ‘student-led’ clinic model. Appointments will include or be run by students currently enrolled in the physical therapy program at UBC, under the supervision of a fully trained and licensed physiotherapist. We have an affordability model in place, believing finances should not be a barrier to receiving the care one needs. We also partner with the AMS/GSS at UBC to provide services at the Student Care Network rate for enrolled students.
