Christina completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology in 2008 at Simon Fraser University and a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 2010 at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. She has been practicing for over 12 years.
Christina evidence base approach to injuries allows her to apply a biopsychosocial model to all her assessments and treatments. She believes that education and self management of one’s injuries is key for recovery.
Christina has completed extensive post-graduate and continuing education training. Christina is certified in IMS (IntraMuscular Stimulation), clinical Pilates and vestibular rehabilitation. Her training in Australia allowed her to develop a large skill set of manual therapy techniques which she incorporates into her treatments. Being an athlete herself she enjoys treating all sporting injuries from adolescent growth injuries to sports specific injuries to weekend warrior injuries.
Christina is an avid runner, completing 20 half marathons and one full marathon. Her continued love for lacing up has no end. Being a runner, she understands the demands the body endears when training for any competitive sport.
Any outdoor activity, Christina will be there. She thrives on physical activity and is outdoor most to all weekends. Christina enjoys skiing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, cycling, swimming, stand up paddle boarding, playing tennis and hiking. She also enjoys travelling and has spent time in Australia, Europe, Southeast Asia, BVI and Mexico, she can’t wait do more overseas exploring and immerse herself in many more adventures.
