To support or recommend a particular cause or policy is known as advocacy.
Advocacy is an important part of the work PABC does to support and protect the interests of it's members and the public.
Advocacy is an integral and complex part of both the day-to-day and big-picture work conducted at a member-focused association. PABC actively looks for optimal ways to achieve objectives and goals by working with stakeholders to improve public policy. Being aware of the advocacy work done by your association allows you to stay connected to many projects and polices that could impact you and your patients.
Volunteer and influence change
By being part of a PABC Standing Committee or volunteering to help with advocacy, you too can influence public policies and project outcomes.
