I am a licensed physical therapist with over 8 years of experience in Canada and USA. I finished Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from India and completed Masters from University at Buffalo, NY.
After graduation, I joined a remote underserved hospital in Texas for 3 years. While working there, I learned the value of building a close relationship and having a close-knit community in providing quality care. I learned a lot by treating people through various stages of recovery, from hospital to inpatient rehabilitation center, and then to outpatient clinic. I also saw clients directly as part of a private practice.
I moved to a one of the top hospitals in Texas to learn how they function. While being a part of multidisciplinary team, I led physiotherapy unit of intensive care and floated to different wards, allowing me to broaden my skill set. To further expand my skills, I moved to Canada two years ago and joined the biggest hospital in British Columbia, offering specialized services in critical care and burns unit.
Outside of work, I like working on various quality care committees, teaching students at the university, reading, hiking, sketching, and playing board games.
