I became a physiotherapist because of my love of working with people, and the ability to have an active career. Physiotherapy was the obvious choice for me.
I have been working in public practice since I graduated from UBC in 2002. I've worked in many units in the hospital and found my true passion once I began working with neurological patients, post stroke in particular. I strive to ensure all my patients are engaged in the session by working towards meaningful goals for them. I feel that each treatment should be challenging and enjoyable.
I continue to challenge myself to upgrade my own skills by taking an NDT course every 1-2 years. My goal for 2016/17 is to take one NDT course, and also a PWR Moves course.
