About me

CANCER REHAB COACH                             REHAB PLANS FOR ANY STAGE                                  PERSONALIZED 1:1 EXERCISE AS MEDICINE

Having been personally impacted by the health care system, Nadine believes that being a Physiotherapist is an honour. She believes it is an opportunity to empower patients to understand their resilient bodies, to regain control and build capacity.

As a therapist she starts with meeting you, the patient, where you’re at, without judgement and understand what's important to you. Ultimately the goal is to help you trust your body's capacity, balance your nervous system and stimulate adaptation with optimal loading strategies. This personalized bio-psychosocial approach is coupled with up to date best practices informed by ongoing post-graduate training. Her B.Sc with Honours and Master’s of Physical Therapy both from UBC built the foundation for critical inquiry and a reflective practice that Nadine continues to develop to this day.

Over the years, Nadine has been focusing her practice in the field of CANCER REHABILITATION, although she still does treat orthopaedic patients. Inspired by both personal connections and the growing need in this area of care, Nadine has completed various courses led by the Directors at both the UBC Clinical Exercise Physiology Laboratory in Breast Cancer along with PINC&STEEL International. She is a certified PINC & STEEL (women and cancer) Cancer Physiotherapist passionate about treating ALL CANCERS at ANY STAGE. Nadine continues to pursue lifelong learning by staying connected to the changing research in this exciting field of cancer physiotherapy. Cancer Physiotherapy sessions can help better manage the symptoms associated with cancer, rebuild strength and create a clinically valid rehab plan for return to work as often insurance parties request this. Her clinical knowledge is paired with various exercise based experiences such as a 5 year personal training background, Bell Sound kettle-bell certifications and a passion for strength training.

Nadine is offering both 1:1 Cancer physiotherapy sessions in Clinic at Lab Health Physio in Esquimalt, in addition servicing from any location through Telehealth at In Reach Online Physio. When she’s not connecting with patients and the Vancouver Island cancer community, you can find her strength training, making sourdough, dipping in the ocean and cycling around this beautiful island.
