Marilou is a graduate of Laval University, Quebec City with a Bachelor of Sciences, Physiotherapy in 1993. After practicing for a couple of years, she decided to pursue more specialized training. She went to Australia and obtained a Post Graduate Diploma of Manipulative Therapy from Sydney University. Upon her return to Canada, she completed her Sport Physiotherapy Diploma and she finished her residency from the Canadian Academy of Manual Therapy. Marilou has serve as Lecturer in Sport Traumatology at the school of Rehabilitation, at the University of Montreal and McGill University.
Marilou's high level of expertise has lead her to work with both International and Developing athletes in numerous sports including gymnastics, rugby, handball, speed skating and alpine skiing. Since 1996 she has been working with the Canadian Track & Field team. Marilou was a member of the Canadian 2000, 2004 and 2008 Summer Olympic team staff as the head physiotherapist for the Canadian Track & Field team. She owned a clinic in Mont-Tremblant, Quebec for five years until her family decided to move to BC in August 2006 where her three young children keeps her busy!
Marilou has a special interest in restoring proper muscular balance to assist recovery injury and prevent recurrence by teaching postural, core and strength exercises.
