Originally from Victoria, Lauren completed both a Bachelor of Kinesiology and Masters in Physical Therapy at UBC. Since 2014, she has worked in a wide range of clinical settings including acute care, residential care, rehabilitation and outpatient settings. Lauren has a special interest in prosthetic training for those with lower limb amputations, as well as physical activity intervention and promotion for people living with Dementia. She has completed additional courses in functional taping (K-Tape) and Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT), which utilizes a hands-on approach to treating those with stroke and other neurological conditions. Lauren also has expertise in rehabilitation after total joint replacement, fractures, falls, and weakness from long hospital stays or illness.
What can you expect from Lauren as a therapist? Lauren has a functional, focused and fun approach to physical therapy and believes in the importance of individualized programs that target the specific needs of her clients.
