Karen graduated from UBC with a masters in physical therapy in 2009. She has obtained additional competency based training in Vestibular Therapy through the Canadian Physiotherapy Association as well as completing Vestibular Rehabilitation - A Competency Based Course at Emory University in Atlanta Georgia. Karen has extensive experience working with Post Concussion Syndrome and has treated clients across the age spectrum, from 3 to 109, for a variety of orthopaedic and vestibular conditions.
Karen was a competitive gymnast and later coached competitively for 15 years. This experience contributes to her work with artistic athletes such as elite gymnasts and dancers for both injury prevention and management.
Karen is a mother of 2, and loves spending time outdoors with her family. She enjoys a good game of volleyball, and going for a bike or run with her headphones in when she needs to escape for a moment.
