This is a dry needling course unlike any other you have taken or that is currently offered. Dr. Ivo Waerlop, from the Gait Guys, takes you through the anatomy, physiology and neurology of what you need to know about this very pertinent and timely modality, providing many clinical examples and applications throughout the course.

This course is part 1 of a 2 part series, with each module spanning 3 days. Participants will return to practice Monday morning with tools that can be immediately implemented, along with exercises to support their treatments. Extensive references are given to support this treatment technique which can be used to educate both patients and potential referral sources. Comprehensive hands on training with small class sizes and individualized attention are used to help the clinician master the material and be confident in their new skill set.

Pre-requisites:

  • Current registration as a practicing Physical Therapist. Proof of registration/license will be required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of practicing as a registered Physical therapist.
  • Be prepared to participate in the course, including the lab/practical sessions. In order to ensure appropriate patient care, it is important that the practitioner experiences the treatment in an educational setting. Because of this, pregnant women may not participate in this course due to the potential risks that are associated with pregnancy and dry needling.
