Three course objectives:
- Understanding of the importance and relevance of non-verbal / relational communication skills in terms of a biopsychosocial approach in physiotherapy (theory and concepts)
- Practical understanding and experience of own personal boundaries and mirroring style and preferences
- Practical understanding and experience of adapting communication style to others whilst maintaining connected to yourself (attuning to client)
This course is a compliment to the PABC- Hosted Motivational Interviewing for Health Practitioners Course being held on Saturday September 28, 2019 at Lifemark West Kelowna. These two courses are meant to be taken together and will focus on building skills learned from the other course. They are not the same course. Different skills will be learned in each course. Please register separately for each course. Please note there are only 18 spots open for the September 29, 2019 course and 30 spots open for the September 28, 2019 course so please sign up early.
Anniken Chadwick graduated from the University of Nottingham, UK with a 1st class Honor's degree in Physiotherapy in 2007. She has a private practice in Vancouver focussing on pelvic health, namely pre & post-natal, sexual dysfunction and chronic pain. Anniken has a particular interest in how cognitive and emotional factors relate to physical dysfunction and has been studying how to incorporate the awareness, assessment and consideration of these into her physiotherapy practice. She will soon be certified in Integrated Bio Psychotherapy (IBP), a somatic model applying Psychotherapy principles to movement; helping clients understand their emotional / tension holding patterns and how this affects interaction with themselves and their environment. Anniken is certified in the Integrated Systems Model, practices acupuncture through the AFCI and has a background in Pilates.

PABC Course Cancellation Policy
PABC Course refunds are issued for cancellations received two weeks prior to the event, less a $100 Cancellation fee. No refunds are issued for cancellations less than two weeks prior to the event.
