Compliance with CPTBC

The College of Physical Therapists of British Columbia (CPTBC) is responsible for regulating the practice of physical therapists in the public interest. They stipulate that holding comprehensive professional liability insurance is in the public interest and the interest of the professional. Read Bylaw 82.

Types of Insurance a Physiotherapist May Need

  1. Business owner’s policy
  2. Professional liability insurance
  3. Worker’s compensation insurance

Working With Insurers

Insurance providers are integral to ensuring both the physiotherapist and the patient are protected and covered. PABC works closely with a variety of insurance providers (ICBC, WorkSafeBC, Pacific Blue Cross, Canada Life, and Sun Life, among others) and funders to continue improving the relationships and outcomes for all British Columbians.
